I live in Phoenix. It's a nice city with great weather and beautiful geography, but the Arizona Science Center epitomizes everything that's wrong with Phoenix -- the fifth largest city in the country but one that has virtually no high-quality cultural facilities. I grew up in Toronto, so my benchmark (the Ontario Science Center) is a high one -- but... more

I've been to a number of science centers and science musuems and this was one of the worst. Although the museum is four floors there are very few exhibits on each floor. None of interactive exhibits are very interesting for kids or adults. They have a new dinosaur exhibit, with animatronic models, but they look cheap and poorly made, and... more

We were in Phoenix area for Thanksgiving week and my niece needed to do a report on biology. We went to the Science museum so she could get this done. We highly recommend the star show (starry?) for children at the planetarium. The kids learned a lot about the stars and it was interactive. They... more

I have been to the science center three times in the past six months. My boys (age 3 & 2) love going there. They have so many things that are "hands on". I have been really impressed that they have things for younger children as well as the school age. I think that some teenagers might be bored with it,... more

This was a good day's entertainment for me and my family. It's like a huge indoor educational playground. We easily spent 4 hours here and had a blast. Definitely worth a visit. more
