Our trip here on sept,15th 2008 had great weather for the day. We used the coupons to get into the park that saved us 2. bucks each. The bridge you can walk across was great to see. On the other side there is a white buffalow ,elk, and some long horn sheep. If you time things right, you can catch the... more

We visited the 2nd week in August. The place seemed pretty quiet and apparently it was not considered peak season because the mule team wagon rides and silver peak railway were not in operation. We paid $88 for the 4 of us because we had a coupon for $2 off each, otherwise it would have been $96. The aerial tram... more

I'm giving this an "above average" rating only because the bridge and views are incredible. The Ariel Tram is really cool, too, as well as the tram that takes you to the bottom of the gorge. The rest of the so-called "theme park?" Terrible. We felt like we were in National Lampoon's vacation! They should cut the price and get... more

I have visited here twice. Once was back in the day where everything was ala-carte. It is a much better experience now they have changed it to one price for almost everything (only food and the SkyCoaster aren't included). The price is fairly expensive per person ($21 for adults w/ a $2 coupon from their website). You can actually drive... more

We last visited Royal Gorge in 2002, spending the day there trying everything they had to offer. Of course, you have to ride the incline railway, walk across the highest suspension bridge in the world, ride the gondola on the aerial tram, and just enjoy the day walking around a very unique place they call "Colorado's Natural Wonder". I've heard... more

Regarding the Royal Gorge.........when did this happen? You can no longer see the gorge or bridge from the entrance. The cost......$20 per person! Yes, there are some carnival rides (!), and junk vendors, but eveything is conveniently positioned, so that you cannot view this natural wonder or the bridge without paying the price. Best bet = stop at Buckskin Joes... more

There are a few different ways to view the Royal Gorge near Canon City, CO. The Royal Gorge Route Railway is by far the best. It is a two hour train trip through the gorge and the beauty is breathtaking throughout. Perfect for anyone because you can ride inside regular train cars and enjoy scenery through large windows or my... more
