I am now living in Budapest..I never knew the Rudacs before it had a 'makeover'...The spa bath is ,however,still original and it is a great experience...I recommend anyone thinking of a spa bath to try this one...Forget The Gellert..Overrated in my opinion. more

I can highly recommend the Rudas baths, having tried a few in Budapest. The rather garish entry section does not prepare you for the wonderful restoration and atmosphere of the baths. The Rudas is THE bath to enjoy in budapest. Even with the renovation, it swoons with atmosphere. the main pool with the dome roof is inspiring and incredibly relaxing. I am happy to report that since the last review (december 2005) which was posted right after the re-opening, things seem to have improved.
