It was with excitment that a group of friends had booked for 'High Tea' at the Perth Mint. The first disappointment came when the location was an outside courtyard with marquee roof situated between buildings. As it was winter and we had 'dressed' for the occaision, it was a let down being surrounded with visitors to the Mint comfortabley dressed... more

Went on a tour whilst in Perth. The value of this tour is questionable, its quite expensive. If you have time and money to burn go do it. Otherwise give it a miss. more

The Perth Mint is worth a visit, but it won't knock your socks off. It is fun to see a gold bar being poured and to try to lift the 12kg gold bar, but otherwise the exhibitions are static and a bit samey. About an hour and a half of distraction. Best for kids and those sheltering from summer heat. more

My 7 year old son wasn't too impressed about going but once there he loved the gold bar pouring and the exhibits. Its a very small complex but they really look after the kids. As the name suggests you can purchase gold, silver, platinum etc and speciality coins. Highly recommended. more
