This castle is laid out so that it is very easy to get around and see everything. It is a very complete castle, meaning that the walls aren't falling down and they have all of the different types of rooms available to walk through. I also loved the ancient tree in the courtyard. Skipton Castle was a most pleasant surprise. It is a great castle to visit with plenty to see but without the crowds. It is certainly worth the visit and do not miss an opportunity when in Skipton to get fish and chips at "Bizzie Lizzie’s" with excellent food and comfortable waitress service. more
