Everything mentioned in previous reviews is true… the food, the views, the people – Mamma Agata and Chiara are great and their enthusiasm and love of what they do inspires everyone in the class. The materials (printed recipes and CD) are great and are easy to follow when you try the dishes at home. But what I got most from... more

Dear Chiara, My wife and I are two of the friends who came with your angel (Mike) on our recent trip to Italy. I must tell you that the time spent with your family was the highlight of our trip. From the cooking all the way until we left you made as feel as though we were life long friends... more

A fantastic experience and a must-do for anyone staying on the Coast with a passing interest in cooking. Chiara is a wonderful hostess and Mamma an entertaining and talented cook in her own right. We bonded with our fellow classmates, cooked for several hours (almost entirely watching, rather than doing) and had a terrific lunch in one of the loveliest... more

The experience of Mamma Agata's is one I will never forget. I can't imagine a more perfect setting in a place that is already so beautiful. When booking Mamma Agata's cooking class, I was hesitant because, being quite young, my husband and I always travel on a tight budget and this was a bit of a splurge for us. However,... more

When I planned my trip to Italy, I desperately wanted to take a cooking class. Our travel agent highly recommended Mamma Agata and I was not disappointed! The dynamic cooking pair of mother and daughter is not only knowledgeable, but entertaining too. I attended a class in mid June 2008. Our group included people from 4 countries and many different... more

Mamma and Chiara provide gracious hospitality as they teach how to prepare great tasting, nutritious foods. It's down-home cooking that anyone can do, but tastes oh, so good and is joy to the eye. My husband and I agree that our best meal in all of our 2 weeks in Italy was at Mamma's. It is an all day investment,... more

I am composing this review to try to share my wonderful experience at Mamma Agata's, although I am quite certain that my writing skills will not be able to do it justice. My husband booked this experience as a suprise for me, to start our 17 day vacation on the Amalfi coast towards the end of June 2008. After arriving... more

You will eat and drink your way through the secrets to great Italian cooking. My husband and I took the class as a suggestion from our travel agent, and did not know that Chiara and Mamma Agata, who run the class, would become our favorite part of our vacation to the Amalfi Coast and Capri. At first I took a... more

What a delightful experience we had. I had decided I wanted to learn some authentic Southern Italian cooking as my grandmother had cooked for me when I was a little girl. I did some research and came up with Mamma Agata in Ravello which is 23 miles from Positano where we were staying. So me, my daughter (20 yrs old)... more

Wow. I've been to several cooking classes over the years, but none compare to a day with Mamma Agata and Chiara. This was by far a highlight of a 3 week Italian vacation. Visiting with the other guests and munching on Mamma's famous lemon cake is a wonderful way to begin the day, the beginning of new friendships, great views,... more
