Many of the treasures of the Hapsburgs are contained in this small museum located in the Hofburg. There are many crowns and royal cloaks that emperors wore during coronations. It is amazing how much gold is used in the artifacts of this museum. There are also many church treasures including golden jeweled crucifixes, and reliqueries of saints. If you want... more

Must see! The crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire and the Austrian Empire are stunning. So are the beautiful embroidered vestments and coronation robes. They even have unicorn horns in here. It's an easy one hour visit right downtown in the Hofburg complex. more

This is a wonderfuly unique museum to visit - the artifacts here will amaze you, especially the golden crib and a crown which has enough jewels on it to supply jewellery stores for years! Video cameras and cameras are allowed, which is unusual too, but wonderful to be able to use here! A must see! It´s location is great too,... more
