This is a very nice pedestrian street to walk down. It is crowded but that is part of the interest. Lots of stores, if you like to shop. And some nice cafes and bakeries for a snack. Given the location in the central city you'll probably wind up walking here a bit regardless. What I found strange was the prevelance... more

Central København has a wonderful network of pedestrian-only streets where no cars and no bicycles are allowed. Many of the city's attractions are within just a block or two. The people watching is great, and it is a rare pleasure to hear native Danish speakers with accents from different parts of Denmark. Open-air cafés fill the many squares that Strøget... more

A stroll down the pedestrian streets of central Copenhagen is something noone should miss, especially if you're there on a spring or summer day. The shops range from small strange shops selling all sorts of trinkets, to high fashion, high-fi and fine art. The streets connect with many gorgeous plazas and wind in between historic buildings and fountains. This is... more

The Stroget is one street with at least four different names other than Stroget, but once you are on it, you are all set. Each time the name of the street chganges, their is a little square with cafe's and outdoor entertainers. We entered at the side near the Tivioli which has souvenier stores and a great toy store. The... more

We walked the Stroget once, just to see it. It was very crowded. The stores are mostly high end. It not pretty or interesting. There's nowhere to sit, so you can't even people watch. It wasn't worth the walk. more

I have to say first off that I love shopping and I love shopping in Europe because they have such lovely pedestrian only cobbled streets. The Stroget is no exception, a group of about five streets full of stores and people. We, like most other reviewers walked the Stroget many times, not only to shop but to get from our... more

You really can't miss the Stroget, since from what we could tell, that is how you got just about everywhere. That said, the shops were outrageously expensive, but that really isn't the point. It's much more about the people watching and the energy of the city, which is really flowing up and down the Stroget. We must have walked it... more

As I went over Easter and most of the shops were shut there was only one reason to visit the Stroget and that was because it was the quickest way from Tivoli to Amalienborg. Some of the squares along the way are nice, but the shops are what you would find in most major cities across the world. You will... more

Along with the usual shops etc. along Stroget, there are a few places that were really worthwhile for shopping and eating: Sostrene Grene was a really funky store, sort of a cross between Pier One and a dollar store. They have a really eclectic assortment of home decor items, craft items, spices, wine etc. The store is about 1/3 of... more
