It is not one of the biggest museums, you would see. Nonetheless, the number and quality of the items on display is great. In the museum, you see arteficates of Athens during different period. I was really impressed by the religious section, in particular the iconoghraphy. Furthermore, go to the cafeteria for a wonderful view of Athens. more

Absolutely fabulous museum of the Greece culture and history from begining until present! We stayed for 4 hours and still didn't see it all! We had dinner on the rooftop patio and it was great and inexpensive. It was full of locals and we seemed to be the only Americans. Only problem was that they didn't start serving until 9:00... more

One of Europe's best "small" museums. Gorgeous paintings, and traditional costumes. Two rooms with superb woodwork from 19th century greek mansions. The cafe has view of the Acropolis! Don't miss it. more

fabulous museum, with great medieval collection--religious art and also clothing, furniture. Also great classical period artifacts. The museum is in what used to be a gorgeous private home in athens. Also, great cafe for snacks--outside balcony. more
