We trudged out here in the rain and it was quite a schlep, just to see it and turn around and go back, but it was worth it. There was no way I was going to go to Brussels and not see the Atomium, even if I didn't go up in it, which it seems is not the main draw... more

Just a warning, the Atomium attraction in Brussels can be a waste of money, it was for us. We paid 9 Euro to get in and most of the areas were blocked off for private functions! The only place to go was the top ball however I would definately suggest to get there very early as the line was really... more

The site is wonderful when you first see it. It's so different and on a sunny day it glistens in the sun. But don't go to the top! For a price you get mediocre views with lots of lines and waiting. The views aren't great at all and the displays in the atomium were all empty! I really did think... more

I had read reviews on this site before we went so wasn't expecting much from inside but thought why not anyway and see for ourselves. It is really cool from outside and the escalators inside in the tubes are a novelty and picture worthy but we must have been inside for a total of 20 mins - including queing time... more

The Atonium is a major feat of engineering and architecture. It has to be seen to be believed. The structure itself is HUGE and you can't appreciate it until you see it.. For some it was a let down, but they are basing it on what's inside, which I thought was a blast by the way. To appreciate this building... more

This was an excellent visit, was very tiering on the legs though. It's worth it just for the views! Had a great time here spent a good few hours here. more

Thanks fellow travellers. I would have been pretty annoyed with all that waiting & expenses for virtually nothing! What a bonus this website is. I went to have a look as you do for most famous monuments & took attached photo but didn't bother to go in. Man in foreground shows how big it is. Its very close to the... more

How I agree with last reviewer. The Atomium is an impressive looking structure from the outside and that is where we should have ended our visit. However, we queued up to pay 9 EURO'S each to visit the inside of the attraction. Once inside the base of the structure you are greeted with a very long queue for the lift.... more

The atonium is certainly something to see (from the outside) but I was VERY disappointed with my visit. I waited one hour to take the lift up to the viewing area (not an especially beautiful view) then one hour to come back down again. I was not made aware that the cordoned off escalator was an alternative way up (which... more
