The site is wonderful when you first see it. It's so different and on a sunny day it glistens in the sun. But don't go to the top! For a price you get mediocre views with lots of lines and waiting. I had read reviews on this site before we went so wasn't expecting much from inside but thought why not anyway and see for ourselves. It is really cool from outside and the escalators inside in the tubes are a novelty and picture worthy but we must have been inside for a total of 20 mins - including queing time... more

The Atonium is a major feat of engineering and architecture. It has to be seen to be believed. The structure itself is HUGE and you can't appreciate it until you see it.. How I agree with last reviewer. The Atomium is an impressive looking structure from the outside and that is where we should have ended our visit. However, we queued up to pay 9 EURO'S each to visit the inside of the attraction. Once inside the base of the structure you are greeted with a very long queue for the lift.... more
