Some church operate a strict dress code. Shorts, miniskirts,strappy sundresses are not considered respectable clothing. Solution is simple: carry a wrap to put around your shoulders. Men will have to wear long trousers. more

Destroyed by an earthquake in 1997, the frescoes have been completely restored in the church of St. Francis. They are outstanding and may be the best you'll see in Italy.
