We didn't spend much time here, but walked through briefly to admire the ancient splendor and beauty. The roof is stunning, and the story goes that it was the first real dome, and thus became the model for all future cathedral domes made after. more

This site is amazing, you can get a free guided tour which will make it more special but I think this place has to be one of the best if not the best in Rome. I do not want to say what i saw and give it all away, just go and see it you wont be let down. The... more

This stop was toward the end of our first day in Rome and the rest of my group was tired but I was insistant on going to the Pantheon. I was so glad that I did too, it was so beautiful inside. Actually, all my buddies ended up going inside too. Definitely a must see! more

The best preserved ancient monument/building in the world. The walls are 20 meters thick to support the massive dome-shaped ceiling. If it is rainy, come here to view the rain fall through the oculus, I hear it is quite breathtaking. The fountain just outside is a good place to rest your feet. Right around the corner is the Church of... more

We arrived at the Pantheon as the sky was getting dark and clouds were rolling in heavy with rain. The inside was beautiful with tombs of Raphael and two kings of Italy, statues and a gorgeous marble floor. Rain poured inside from the hole in the roof. When the storm left the sun made the inside naturally light through that... more

The Pantheon and the Piazza della Rotunda is a wonderful place to enjoy an evening in Rome. Get some gelato from Giolitti's which is close by, and sit on the 2000 year old stairs of the Pantheon. Think of all those that were there before you and watch the people walk by. If your lucky a choral group will be... more

I loved the Pantheon. The outside is starting to show its age (2000 years) but the inside is beautiful marble. Its a trip to walk into a building that is 2 millenia old. And the best part is there is no line or waiting. I was blown away when I came into the Piazza, saw the doors were open, and... more

Toured in November, 2007. The Pantheon was one of my favorite buildings in Rome because of its age and history. The outside definitely shows its age but the inside does not. Just beautiful inside. The marble designs are wonderful and the colors are some of my favorites of blues and browns. Entry is free and photos are allowed. There are... more

The Pantheon is one of those stops that you won't need to spend much time at, but you really need to see it. It is huge! Other than the building itself, there wasn't too much to see (at the time I was there they had part of it roped off due to a religious function). I believe Raphael is buried... more

When you look at the structure of this building, its an amazing structure, their is a large hole through the top where day light filters through. We did not need to line up for this attraction, we just walked in, their is no photos allowed inside but this did not stop people trying to take photos. more
