Based on the fab reviews of the Pergamon on here, we shortlisted it for our 2 day trip to Berlin. Wow. As a museum professional who travels when possible, I've been to my share of museums. The collection at the Pergamon Museum is awesome, in the traditional sense of the word. The Ishtar Gate and the Pergamon Altar were amazing. Great collection of Islamic art as well - a definite must-see for people visiting Berlin! more

It really blew my mind. Again, get the Audio tour in the entrance and pick the highlights tour, which gets you in half an hour around the 4 most important exhibits they have. Be warned : use your time when you go to the Pergamon museum! Spending about 3 hours there, is no problem at all.
