The Schloss Nymphenberg is the stuff of dreams, with its elegant Italian-styled façade, lovely frescoed walls, rococo gilding, gorgeously manicured lawns and dreamy canals. The first site of Nymphenburg whets your appetite for all it has to delight you. The schloss itself was beautiful with ornate decor at every turn, however, much of the interior was closed the day I visited. I only got to visit three rooms, but they were beautiful. The collection of sleighs, carriages and porcelain are not to be missed.... more

During the summer of 2001, I visited this beautiful castle. As if almost from a dream, it is so ridiculously beautiful and amazing. The tour of the castle was extremely informative and interesting. Highly recommended to anyone who happens to be in the Munich area. more
