Caracalla is WAY OVERRATED, OVERPRICED, and OVERCROWDED. This was an excellent modern attraction. Don't go expecting to swim much as even the giant pools seem to be treated as giant jacuzzis or hot tubs where people loll around in the various temperatures and jet strengths. If you have not been to Caracalla Therme, you are missing one of the truly marvelous European experineces. While it can get crowded on weekends and German holidays it is kept meticulously clean in true German fashion. If you prudish Americans have the courage, try the nude areas.
