We visited the Wallace Monument after a tour of Stirling Castle (very nice Castle btw). The Monument is about a 10-20 minute drive across the valley. Once we got there, the parking was at the bottom of a hill atop of which stood the monument. It is about a 10-15 minute walk up the hill (through a forrest, very pleasant).... more

No bus tranport for my son and I. Walked from University of Stirling to the Monument, climbed to the top (an exhilerating view), walked to city centre by way of the Stirling Bridge, had a fine lunch, the on to Stirling Castle. The Monument is a fitting tribute and has a striking stark beauty. The story of its construction reminds... more

I took bus 63 from Stirling centre to the monument. Since the shuttle bus driver was on break - I walked up the hill to the monument. (quite tiring) The audio quide is quite good and the exhibits were well done. The walk to the top of the monument was exhausting, but the views fromt eh top are spectacular!!! more

i think that the wallacw monument is a wonderful tribute to a great scottish leader and should be visited by all. it is a wonderfully tall building with lots of different things to do. there is a small room to go into where William himself will talk to you via a video screen as he i put on trial for... more
