If you like waterfalls this is a ‘must do’ trip. The highest falls in the Canadian Rockies can be seen by travelling 9 miles up a road, just off the Trans-Canada highway. If you have a large vehicle be warned there are 3 hairpin bends (switchbacks). We did it in a Ford truck and saw several RVs in the car... more

Get to Takakkaw Falls early and you will find a front row and center parking spot...A parking spot with a very clear view of this very large and beautiful waterfall. There is also a picnic table just a short couple of feet from your car... perfect place to have breakfast or lunch... The drive up to the falls is manageable,... more
