My family and I hiked Angel's Landing on May 25, during Memorial Day Weekend, and it was great. Nice weather, no crowds, and great views! The trail is very nice, and well maintained (they were doing some work on it while I was hiking). I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on here, but it was... more

I had both knees replaced two years ago and was looking for a good test for them. At Angels Landing I found that test. I should have gone in the morning when it was cool. but waited until it was 106 degrees. Made it up to the top and back down in four hours. I have never had to force... more

Took this hike with our two teenagers last week! It was son's favorite hike. We did start the last .5 mile ascent to Angels Landing and decided that scaling the rocks and the mountain wasn't for us and turned around. Despite not gettng all the way to the top, the view from Scouts Lookout was amazing and we felt no... more

Our guide from Mountain Travel Sobek didn’t say much about Angel’s Landing --just that it was challenging. “You’ll know whether you can do it when you see it,”
he added. He did suggest that we skip the last half mile if we were at all afraid of heights. Someone mentioned that a few people had died trying to make it... more

After reading all the reviews I could of this place I was prepared for the worst. Thankfully, that preparation came in handy for getting up the will to conquer this place. Only 2 of our party of 4 went on to finish what I dubbed "The Last Half Mile of Death" and one of us (my wife) developed a convenient... more

This hike is definitely worth trudging up the steep path to Scout's Lookout and then climbing up and over the rocks to the top of this beautiful mountain. I would recommend starting out in the early to mid-morning, as it does take about two hours to get to the top with breaks for water, picture taking, etc. Don't miss taking... more

We are reasonably fit, but live in the UK and are not used to hiking in heat or altitude. This hike is well presented - the first stage being sand paths, changing quickly to rough concrete paths. The route then continues to the back of the mountain with a large part in shade, then come the steep switchbacks, quite challenging... more

I visited Zion NP two years ago and did't have time to hike angel's landing and never stopped thinking about. Last summer I convinced my family and girlfriend to visit the park with my only goal to conquire Angel's Landing. All 5 of us agreed it was the most memorable part of the trip, not just because I got engaged... more

For some reason my cousin and I tackled this hike, not really thinking much about it before deciding to go on a whim. I don't remember it being as difficult as most are saying. I am pretty out of shape and I had to stop and catch my breath every 5 minutes or so on the way up but it... more
