We found Duff's through Internet reviews during a drive from Maine to Kentucky, and it was a highlight of the road trip. Unassuming building inside and out, friendly staff, excellent micro-brew and outstanding wings and fries. Heed the signs: medium are hot (actually, vinegary) and hot are very, very hot. If you're in the area, it's worth finding. more

We stayed here as the other hotels we tried in Buffalo were full. Checkin was good and prompt, and the lobby impressive. The hotel is a short walk from good restaurants and bars, and it felt safe walking round the area late at night. The room was small and dated but perfectly adequate. For visitors to downtown Buffalo, no visit is complete without visiting (even for a short while) the Erie Basin Marina. Here you can walk along the rocks and see where Lake Erie meets the Niagara River. It's a prime spot for boaters.
