Chitabe Camp

5 of 5 stars
Paris / France
Aug 24, 2008

We spent 2 days at Chitabe Lediba Camp (the small camp near the main Chitabe camp). It was a wonderful stay ! With only 5 tents, this camp creates a great intimacy between the staff and the guests, and between the guests themselves. The 2 guides (OT and Oats) are so nice and so skilled, as is the whole staff... more

The setting is great and the food too, I agree, but you have to mention that for the price you pay you should expect something more. When we arrived to the camp the activities available were mokoro, boat, drive and walk. We were there for 2 nights and although we asked several times to do other than drives, drives were... more

Delta Camp

Aug 22, 2008

We have just returned from the truly amazing experience that is "Delta Camp", Camp Okuti and the Okavango Delta. Everything about it will stay with me forever. Our guides, Matsoudi, Timon and Lee were such fun and loved to play little pranks on us with the natural habitat when we were out in the mokoros. Many thanks to Wago at... more

Chitabe Camp is very well organized and run. Everything runs as expected and on schedule, the staff is very friendly and efficient. The game drives are good even if the game variety can at times be challenging. The tents are very comfortable, and the camp is well laid out and in a good location; the food was very good. more

Duba Plains Camp

Aug 15, 2008

Been meaning to write this for a while now...I treated my wife to a Valentine's Day weekend awa to Botswana. Being only for a weekend I chose to only to go to one camp - Duba Plains - not need to run around on our special weekend. I had also had concerns about the heat that apprently struck the Delta... more

Kwetsani Camp

Aug 7, 2008

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in July on honeymoon. Although the setting is beautiful and the staff were all friendly, we were left feeling rather disappointed. The main issue was that we didn't feel that the hosts were very serious about their safari. This may seem like a strange comment, but as everyone who has been on... more

Little Kwara Camp - Kwando Safaris

5 of 5 stars
Scottsdale, Arizona
Aug 4, 2008

There is a well known saying along the lines of "it isn't what you know but who you know." At Little Kwara, a guest only needs to know they will have the superior talents of trackers and guides who have deep understanding and love for the animals in the Okavanga Delta. Travel in the winter, even though the mornings and... more

Sandibe Safari Lodge

Jul 26, 2008

All the good stuff you read about this place is true. We have just returned from 5 fabulous nights. The design of the camp is wonderful, the staff are just fantatsic and the food excellent. As mentioned by someone else the staff seem genuinely happy to be there rather than just doing it for the money. The game viewing was... more

My wife and I stayed in Sandibe as part of our Botswana Safari (CC Africa) and were thrilled with everything we saw and did, and the people we met. The camp is in a pretty spot, along a permanent channel in the delta. The huts are all comfortable, authentic and well placed/spaced. Meals are served open air as in most... more

Pom Pom Camp

Photos do not do justice to Pom Pom Camp. The main lodge is airy, open with a very high thatched ceiling/roof. The lodge is situated to maximize the lovely view overlooking a lagoon with the vista continuing on to green islands, reeds....peaceful beauty. On the lagoon side of the lodge, on the sand, sits a circle of director's chairs with... more

Jul 12, 2008

We stayed at Sandibe at the start of our honeymoon in September for 3 nights, and it was the best out of all of the 4 lodges we stayed in. The staff were fabulous (we really loved Judi), the food absolutely fantastic (we still dream of their home-made breads), the setting perfect. The cabins are not too far spread out... more

We stayed in Jao for 2 nights as a part of our honeymoon to Botswana and Zambia. Our initial impression was that it was fantastic, and the travel agent had indicated to us that it was one of the top properties in Botswana, however we have mixed feelings on this place. The Good: - Game viewing was fantastic and the... more

I stayed a few nights with AUDI CAMP and went on a three day MOKORO safari into the OKAVANGO DELTA with them ......it was absolutely SPECTACULAR. About 5 km north of MAUN this extremely well run place caters for campers as well as people who dont have 4x4's to make it into the DELTA or MOREMI on their own steam.... more

Selinda Camp

Jun 30, 2008

Selinda lived up to all of my expectations. To me this part of Botswana was a bit wilder - everything felt a little bit more raw, and that was fantastic. But Selinda is truly a beautiful camp. Overlooking waterways and expansive floodplains, there is an air of serenity about the place. The communal area was extremely comfortable. Places to share... more

Kwetsani is one of 3 Botswana safari camps visited in early May 2008, set in a magnificent water wonderland, the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival via a charter flight, Phenyo, our Kwetsani safari guide was there to greet us and provide transport to the camp. We were in awe of the delta, the prolific birdlife, the reeds, lilies, papyrus, and palm... more

Camp Okavango

Jun 29, 2008

This was one of seven lodges we stayed at. I was a bit disappointed, in that our purpose in staying at these lodges was to see game. Camp Okavango however does not do game drives. It has a walk across an island, a relaxing poling across a shallow river bed, and fishing. Other than that, you are not going to... more

Jao Camp

My first impression of Jao was "wow". It is a gorgeous camp in every way - great communal area encompassing lounge, library, bar and dining area over 2 levels. Big stairs everywhere though which can be a little daunting at first. The rooms are enormous - at least 3 times bigger that most in the Delta. They are linked by... more

Camp Okavango

Jun 26, 2008

Camp Okavango was a fabulous experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable - the walking safari was amazing (and I was relieved not to come across any crocodiles whilst walking) We were made to feel really welcome by Michelle and MC and the rest of their team. The flight from Kasane was a highlight as was the mokoro trip! A great... more

We spent a three very happy days at Duba Plains camp. The highlight was the very cheerful and helpful all Botswanan staff with whom we had a great deal of fun. The atmosphere in the camp was a great credit to the manager Molausi and his two assistant managers Tebby and Bogong The tented accommodation was of a very high... more
