I live nearby and come here often. The haunted cemetary tours are a must! It might be a good idea to check their event calendar before planning your trip since they always seem to have something going on. I also recommend going to the saloons. They are as packed now as they were in the old days. more

Was celebrating my 40th B-Day and had a little to much enjoyment and needed a place to stay. My wife and I decided this about mid-night and had no problem getting a hold of Doreen (sp) and she promptly drove from her house (about 5 minutes away) and got us a room. No Ghosts to speak of but my wife... more

I love Virginia City and this was only my second visit. Went with a friend we decided to stay. A local recommended the Silver Queen. Paid $80 for street-view room with a shower. Primitive, yes, cool....absolutely. When we first went in, I took some photos of my friend on the stairs. Caught three small orbs and one large one. Very... more

The B Street House Bed & Breakfast

The B Street House truly defines the bed and breakfast experience. When you walk into the house, you feel as though you have walked back in time to the beautiful antique charm that defines the 1800's time period. Upon arrival I was greeted by both innkeepers and wonderful smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The house is furnished with... more

We absolutely loved staying at the Chollar Mansion and would definitely stay again. We stayed in the cottage outside the mansion, it was lovely. The antique furniture was beautiful. Our son was doing a report on Virginia City for school and Gina, the owner provided him with his own drawer full of books and information on Virginia City. In addition,... more

We stayed at the Silver Queen last Friday night. They were booked for Saturday night, so we had to stay elsewhere. Let me say this: If you are "uptight" and absolutely cannot survive without the modern amenities which we are all accustomed to, then this is not the place for you. This hotel is 132 years old. We stayed in... more

I never stayed at the Hotel, but was just there this past weekend, and was insulted by the lady behind the bar. The owner of the place was nice and very respectfull to his customers. My dad took me there when i was a kid which was about 22 years ago. I really enjoyed looking around in the hotel. it... more

I regret staying at the Chollar mansion for what was supposed to be a quiet get-a-way with my husband. It began upon arrival, the suite we were promised was unavailable due to a plumbing issue, so we had to settle for a room that had the worst odor due to what we were told was a “fire”. While trying to... more

Great hotel. We stayed here for our last night before flying back home to Chicago. We stayed in room 12 expecting a quiet night since it is not part of the hotel that is supposedly haunted. We were in for a night of surprises. First we went to the bar, which is very homey. Dollar bills are hanging on all... more

The palace saloon has fantastic food, excellent customer service, they are very clean and the environment is very nastalgic. It gives you a very warm feeling, not to mention the fact that they're prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is above all the best in town. I'm definately eating there on my next trip to V.C. more

Much different than I had expected. I visited this establishement with my girlfriend for Valentines day and we were joyful from the moment we saw it. As is seen in our provided photo (which hopefully will post), each room is separated by a step-patio and decorated very nicely. The snow had been well cleared for parking and the management was... more

Stayed once more at the Ramada and had a wonderful stay. There was a high school basketball tournement in town and we were directly across the hall from a few boys...they were not a problem our whole weekend. It was great! I would definitely recommend the King Suite with the whirlpool. Great view, very relaxing. more

What a great hotel. Although I appreciate the history of Virginia City and its antique hotels, I still prefer to sleep in something new- this hotel is just that. It's perfect for Virginia City as its exterior decor blends with the western aspects of this tourist town, yet its accommodations are exactly what a modern person needs. Nice room, great... more

This little gem run by the Fain Family, is a wonderful place to visit. The hotel is suppossedly haunted, but we were staying in the new part of the hotel. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the toilet kept running all night, but we turned off the valve and things went back to beautiful. The wood... more

The innkeepers jokingly guaranteed a beautiful sunrise in the room, and we were not disappointed. Virginia City is so charming and quaint, it was a real gift to be able to stay over night in such a beautiful old home. The food was good, and not just the usual B&B fare. We really enjoyed the cleanliness and the no smoking... more

We have always loved Virginia City but we had only been there in the summer and never spent the night. We found the Comstock Lodge on trip advisor and it sounded like just what we were looking for. We checked in on a nice winter day; sunny but chilly. The morning we were to leave, we woke up to at... more

Well just turned up in town (as usual as we never book anything in advance) and were really lucky to get one of the last 2 rooms left that weekend. Anyway we booked for 2 nights and added an extra night on as we loved the little place so much. Situated on the main road into town with plenty of... more

Hi. This is the most recent visit. I have stayed here at the Comstock lodge each time I make my annual road trip (and sometimes 2ce a year) to Virginia City. I have stayed in several different rooms at this lodge, depending on whether I am just by myself or with friends or family. I feel like home here and... more

The food we thought is very good and interesting. Has a nice southwest flavor. Kind of Tex-Mex with a little Sodona thrown in. This establishment used to be in Carson City. We were in a large group of 20 people and the servers seemed kind of overwelmed. It took at least 45 minutes for our meals to finally arrive. During... more

We had a great time at the B Street House. The location is good for shopping the little stores on the main drag, a short walk. The food was fresh and surprisingly good. Overall a good value for the price paid. I would recommend the B&B to anyone. more
