Franklin is on Bayou Teche and is a nice place to stay to tour mid-Cajun country. Franklin has a nice historical district, but perhaps the greatest attraction is the B&B in which we stayed-Prevost House. It is quite new and as of this date has not been advertised. Our family just hosted two family reunions at the Best Western Forest Hotel in Franklin. The accomodations were wonderful. The swimming pool was crystal clear and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Our family enjoyed touring Oaklawn Manor, home of former Louisiana Governor and Mrs. M.J. Foster. Don't miss Giggles & Bows, Ltd. in Franklin. It is a quaint little gift shop located in a turn of the century gift house on Historic Main Street. It has unique gifts at affordable prices!
