This is a new hotel well situated in a quiet part of central Irkutsk. Our room was not large but was clean and comfortable (with standard iffy Russian plumbing). Angara is the central hotel in Irkutsk. The exterior is great. It is shabby inside, but clean, and the key lady on my floor was friendly and helpful once she knew I wasn't a spy. Boutique Hotel located on Lake Baikal at the mouth of the Angara River. Restaurant food was excellent and seemed to be very popular with the locals.
