Traders Hotel Singapore

Jul 1, 2008

We had stayed in the Shangri-la Hotel last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This year we decided that we would go with the same group but not pay quite so much...hence the Traders. We were very disappointed with the room. We paid an extra $300 Singapore dollars so that we could check out at 6:00pm on our last day,... more

InterContinental Singapore

We enjoyed five days at this hotel while touring the city. Our room was on the same floor as the Club Lounge and we often used this room for 'chill out' time while enjoying breakfasts and afternoon tea with a limited view. The room was well furnished and clean while the king size bed was an absolute treat. The service... more

Stayed at this hotel as it is almost next door to our company office in Suntec City. Due to the location, the hotel was therefore fine and the staff were always courteous and helpful. The lunch buffet downstairs where breakfast is also served was sensational. Rooms (weel the room I stayed in which was on the premier business floor) was... more

I stayed on the executive floor in one of the newly remodeled rooms. The bathroom walls are made of glass. Very exotic on the architect’s computer until you need privacy and have a guest. There is supposed to be a shade for one wall of the bathroom. It was missing in my room. I told the staff about it the... more

Orchard Hotel Singapore

Jun 30, 2008

This hotel has very mixed reviews but my wife and I were only staying for 3 nights (15th – 17th June 2008) so I thought it worth a risk and I was glad we did. It is a very good hotel in a good area well served by bus and MRT (underground train). The public areas: reception, bar, lounge, restaurant,... more

The hotel has not been maintained since its conversion a couple of decades ago. We were surprised to find it opposite a number of clip joints and "buddy" bars which were noisy late into the night. Breakfast was very poor. There are much better hotels in Singapore. more

I had booked two rooms at 1bnb after reading the positive reviews of the place here at trip advisor but done so with much trepidation as this was my first time booking a room online in a place I had never seen before. Currently as stated, the website is down because the proprietess wants to focus on long-staying customers instead... more

We stayed at the Regent Hotel as part of the SIA Stopover Package. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff and service were excellent. The rooms were beautifully appointed (we stayed in an executive room for 1 night and then a superior room for 6 nights). The bathroom in the executive room was more spacious than the... more

Robertson Quay Hotel

Jun 29, 2008

We found this hotel to be a decent budget choice. We happened to be in Singapore during the Singapore Sale and it seems some other things were going on, so hotel rooms rates were high. We chose this hotel based on rate and location. The location was really good (except for the construction mentioned by others - we had a... more

Hotel 1929

Jun 29, 2008

Be very wary of this place. We stayed two nights and it was pretty unpleasant. The inroom broadband internet didn't work hotel-wise and despite many guests loudly complaining about it, hotel management replied with a variation of 1)it must be your computer's settings aka not our fault 2)the service is often down (in 'wired' Singapore? dont think so) and 3)... more

The Turquoise Room

Jun 29, 2008

We were at 7 Lock Road for dinner (previously The Turquoise Room) and were surprised that there was a change in management. We spoke to the new owners and were told about the new plans. They will be closed for renovations and reopen with a new menu and an outdoor BBQ and martini bar on 8 July. We will definitely... more

Copthorne Orchid Hotel Singapore

By Singapore standards this is a remote hotel well away from the city centre and more importantly the metro system. They run a free bus shuttle to the city, fine for shopping but pain if you only want to go out to eat. Only advantage is it is outside the congestion charge area so taxi from the aiport was just... more

W ordered the St Louise Prok ribs since it was a signature dish and has won an award for a few years running. When we tuck into our ribs, we were greatly disappointed. The sauce was a mixture of bbq and chilli sauce which you can make it at home. The ribs did not taste tender. Highly do not recommend... more

I decided to book this hotel to stay our last 2 nights in Singapore as it is located at Terminal 3 and I'm VERY happy I decided to stay! Although the hotel was not completely open the level of service was great, from the personalised in-room checkin for Priority Club members to the room service meals i ordered to the... more

Albert Court - A Far East Hotel

Albert Court was where I stayed the first time I went to Singapore. I didn't have any problems with them then and so naturally I booked again for this trip. We stayed in an area opposite the main hotel building. It's a two-storey wing with a really slow elevator. We got the cheapest room since we only needed a place... more

I booked with Qantas holidays Australia over the phone. I stayed for 5 nights, & had a wonderful stay at Traders. All of the hotel staff were courteous, whenever I encountered them. The variety of food at the breakfast buffet was wonderful. I had lunch one day, & it was also lovely. The prices were comparable to other places I... more

This place is looking a bit rundown now and is in need of a renovation quick-smart!, the lobby this quite nice and the rooms are a reasonable size but are looking very tired. Although the Intercon is now getting on to 13 years old, it continues to be one of the prime hotels in the area. With its excellent location next to Bugis Junction and its great range of services, this is one of the area's best properties. Treat yourself to the club floor and let Saliporn and Peter pamper you. Can't say... more
