We stayed here for 5 nights in May. The Hotel is centrally loacted a few minutes walk from several metro stops and the main square and Les Ramblas are a few minutes walk away too. The Hotel is very clean and the rooms are a good size. There was no coffee/tea making facilities which would have been nice. The fridge... more

A conference trip brought me recently to Barcelona, and I had the utmost difficulty finding accommodation that is "fairly" priced that is close to downtown. The Axel is close to a subway station and is walkable to the downtown shopping and pedestrian zone (about 15 minutes).
