Berlin is one of my favorite locations. History exudes from every corner from 13th century to the 21st. Berlin is full of art and architecture as you transition from the ancient to the new, ultra-modern city. Great transportation by bus or rail. Take a guided tour, it's worth it. We stayed at a B&B near Charlottenburg off of the S-Bahn. more

We stayed here for four nights in mid-May 2008. Thanks to Priceline we obtained an extremely favorable rate. The hotel's location is remarkable, especially considering that it in an area that was once a huge vacant lot next to the Berlin Wall. Great breakfast. New building, all rooms refurbished. Bright and clean, close to the metro station "Hallesche Tor" and "Gneisenauer Straße". You can walk downtown (just follow the Friedrichstraße from the subway stn "Hallesche Tor") in about 30minutes. Supermarkets near by. I liked it! more
